do you dream up the surge could have fried the electronics of the washer. the washer turns on, water runs, and drains,, but it doesn't whirl. i don't think the problem is with the door switch because i used to be masterly to have the door open for wash
Sounds like the predominant motor to agitate and spin the washer is out. Most motors come with overtemp cavort protection. It's possible that the surge could have tripped the overtemp cutoff swap. It could be as simple as pushing the button back in. But you have to be able to get to the main motor fitting. If you're not DIYer, I would call a service
