They look uncommonly good, and I've heard that they use less energy, but I want to know what the benefits are, unerringly. If you have one, tell me about your experience w/ it.

Like any other device, adding steam to a washer or dryer really does not do anything but add unwanted things to make you think it is better. Steam dryers state that they take out wrinkles but the dryer itself if toughened properly will do the same thing. In addition, just steaming dry garments as they drop around does nothing to "iron" them.
